Steam eu4 leviathan1/8/2024 ![]() ![]() Once you become world power you just go around and stomp whoever you want, as long you avoid couple of nations who have also expanded with same rate. First wars are interesting ones, as you have usually fairly equal troops and randomness can change the result. What is even worse, is that expanding becomes easier and easier. Why spend money and monarch points on developing land when you can build up army, use monarch points to advance tech and just take more land. The problem, as I see it, has been from same from the beginning of EU4, and none of the new mechanics have solved it yet - the best way to become powerful is to conquer your neighbours. And do we really need even more dev boosting going on? Originally posted by bri:The name doesn't fit the series at all. New ideagroups for Theocracy, Steppe Hordes and Natives. Canal changes (I don't remember seeing this in dev diaries) favors are now part of base game and do not require The Cossacks anymore NA natives rework (still require Conquest of Paradise DLC) with map and tags update 5 more diplomatic actions (not shown yet) 2 more play tall features (not shown yet) increase governing capacity of province for 1 extra building slot Zoroastrianism, Totemism and Sikhism update SEA and NA native mission trees, events etc ![]() Estate Regencies will replace regency councils (consort regencies still work same way if you have RoM) Leviathan DLC features, you must buy it first to unlock these: I will list the new stuff coming with DLC and free patch from developer diaries and post by Johan: Release Date and Price will be communicated later This fascinating region of powerful monarchs and rich merchants takes on new color and offers new ways to play. It also has a host of other changes to well-established game features like Regencies and Colonies.Īmong other things, Leviathan gives you new ways to quickly develop your capital, drawing resources and power from vassals or newly conquered territories, and allows you to build beyond your province’s construction limit if you are willing to pay the price.Įuropa Universalis IV: Leviathan will be accompanied by a major free update that reworks the Southeast Asian and Australasian maps, with new nations, new cultures and new religions. Leviathan offers new tools that allow you to play “tall” with smaller and more focused realms with a few centers of power. Leviathan is the newest expansion to Paradox’s flagship grand strategy game about the early modern world. Picture it and then make it so in Europa Universalis IV: Leviathan. A capital not of a mighty territorial empire, but of a compact and concentrated state that can still use gold and favors to influence neighbors and rivals. Picture a capital city that shines like a gemstone, improved by the wealth drawn from the hinterland - decorated by riches demanded from vassals. ![]()
